Indoor air quality and the corona pandemic

Image title/description goes here

During the last months, the QleanAir Scandinavia filter expert and product manager, Håkan Eriksson, has followed the developing science regarding the SARS-CoV-2 virus. He has gathered a long list of questions and answers for internal use, but we would also like to share it with the rest of the world.

The questions range from how the virus spreads and how long it lives in different environments, to how you can protect yourself. It explains ventilation and air cleaning in general, and why indoor air quality is more important than ever today. How to use air cleaners to reduce aerosols and particles in the air, and how to calculate your need in different facilities like offices, schools, and hospitals. The Q&A describes what an HEPA air filter is, when to use it, and when it is not recommended to use it.

The virus-related questions and answers are gathered from the World Health Organization, WHO, the Centre for Disease Control CDC, the European Centre for Disease Control, ECDC, Robert Koch Institute, RKI, and the Public Health Agency of Sweden. The source for the filter related information is us, our filter supplier, American Airfilters, and Dinair, our particle filter supplier.
